For SACAA form CA 62-02 only. That form asks for gender and population group "for statistical purposes only". FolioFly uses these two answers only to tick those boxes on that form. Only you can see them, and leaving them blank is fine. SACAA's form says no blocks should be left blank, so if you leave them blank you will need to tick them by hand.

You'll pay on PayFast's secure page by card, Instant EFT or the other options there. The year starts from today, or from the end of your current paid year if you pay early.
Keep your own copy of everything you've recorded. The full backup is one file with all your records and your uploaded documents (scans and photos). Make it on a laptop or computer, not a phone — it saves to the Downloads folder, and from there you can copy it to a memory stick or your cloud drive. The CSV is just the logbook, handy to hand to an examiner.

The printed folio has your licence number on each flight and a space beside it to sign. The on-screen table doesn't show these.

Prints the Logbook for the most recently added renewal's Hours Period From/To range, ready for the instructor to sign — then attach the scanned copy under the Logbook Endorsement requirement below.
Add this test's result to Licence Renewal Records above first — Pre-fill Form below stamps values from your most recent renewal record, so it needs that record saved before it can use it.
Pre-fill Form fills in your aircraft's current hours and details from your logbook. It shows your present Authority to Fly's expiry date from your latest record below. Add the new record once SACAA has issued it.
Do this before the inspection, so the line is on the folio when your AME signs it. Enter the date you expect the inspection to be done. It goes at the bottom of the Flight Folio ("Annual Inspection 707.3 Hobbs"), and the AME's details are kept for section 2 of CA 24-03. The AME details shown are the ones from last time: check them, then press Add Annual Inspection to Folio. If the date changes, press Edit on that line in the Folio and change the date. If you leave the AME's details empty, section 2 of CA 24-03 is left blank and you must write them in by hand.

For the folio copy the application asks for: press the button below. It opens the Folio with the flights since your last ATF was issued. Leave Date To empty, which means up to today. Press Print Folio, then attach the copy to Flight Folio Records above.

A CRS is issued whenever specific maintenance work happens — a propeller change, an engine overhaul — not only on the annual ATF renewal cycle (that one's tracked above, under "Certificate of Release to Service (CRS)" in the requirements checklist). Log every CRS here, whatever triggered it.

For someone who gave you their details directly. Invite by email creates their account and emails them. Create and copy code creates it without sending any email and shows you a code to send them yourself, for example on WhatsApp.
Pilots who asked to join on the FolioFly page. Invite creates their account and emails them a link to choose their password; they then appear below on the free logbook. Give a free year for early users; everyone else gets the full version by paying.
The free logbook always works; the full version works until the later of their Trial Ends and Paid Until dates. Flights, aircraft and sign-in are counts only. View records appears when a pilot has asked for help (Pilot tab → Help from FolioFly) and shows their records read-only until their access ends. You can also add a pilot yourself in Supabase → Authentication → Users → Add user.
FolioFly checks SACAA's website for revised forms every day and emails you.
Loading the current version of this form and stamping in your details — it downloads automatically when ready. Check your Downloads folder for the file.
These two answers change every renewal, so they're asked fresh here rather than stored on the aircraft.
Section 2 of the form (your AME's name, AMO/AP number and contact details) will be left blank, because no AME details are saved for this aircraft. Write them in by hand on the printed form, or press Cancel and add them first under Annual Inspection on the ATF Renewal tab.
