What it does for you
Less paperwork, fewer surprises
Log once: logbook and folio done
Type in the date, route and hours after you land. Your logbook and your aircraft's flight folio are filled in together: folio number, airframe hours, landings, oil and fuel. Defects go on the right folio page.
Always know your hours
Pilot and dual hours for each type of aircraft you fly. Print your logbook pages whenever you need them.
A reminder before things run out
Your licence, medical, Authority to Fly and radio licence. It also tells you if you're not current to carry passengers.
Renewal forms filled in for you
When it's renewal time, your SACAA forms come out with your details and hours already in. You just check and sign.
Your own copy, always
FolioFly reminds you once a week to save a backup. On your laptop, one button gives you a single file with your logbook, your records and the photos of your documents. Keep it on a memory stick or your cloud drive.

Easy to use
If you can send a WhatsApp, you can use FolioFly
- Nothing to download. It opens on your phone like a website. I'll show you how to put it on your home screen so it's one tap away.
- I set it up with you. I create your account, help you add your aircraft and your hours from your paper logbook, and go through your first flight with you.
- Help when you need it. Stuck on something? Send me a message and I'll sort it out.
- Works at the airfield. Open FolioFly before you lose signal, and a flight you log is kept on your phone and sent when you're back in range.

Questions
Things pilots ask
I'm not very good with computers.
That's fine, it was made with that in mind. I'll set it up with you and show you the few buttons you need. Logging a flight is one screen. There's also a Help tab inside the app, and a printable guide.
Do I have to stop using my paper logbook?
No. You can keep both, but it's not necessary. Your totals from the paper logbook are entered once, and FolioFly carries on from there.
Can I use my phone?
Yes. You can use your phone or your laptop. It's simplest to record your flight on your phone straight after you land.
Can other people see my records?
No. Your records are private to your account. If you'd like help, you can let me see them, without being able to change anything, from the Pilot page. It switches off by itself after 7 days, or you can stop it sooner. Otherwise I only see when you last signed in and how many flights and aircraft you have, not what's in them.
What if I lose my phone, or something goes wrong?
Your records are kept online in your account, so a lost phone doesn't lose them. Sign in on another one. FolioFly also reminds you to save your own backup copy, on a laptop: one button gives you a file with your logbook, records and document photos.
What do I get if I pay?
The full version, for R980 a year: your renewal forms filled in for you, reminders before things run out, your licence and Authority to Fly records, photos of your documents, and more than one aircraft. If you stop paying, you keep the free logbook. Your other records stay there for you to look at, and nothing is deleted.
